The situation of needy families and new entrepreneurship projects were studied on site in Peshku District
As part of ongoing work to raise living standards, reduce poverty and develop the local economy, a working group led by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of AloqaBank conducted studies in the mahallas of Peshku District, Bukhara Region.
First, members of the working group visited the homes of needy and low-income families in the area and closely examined their living conditions, sources of income and existing problems. Practical proposals aimed at lifting each family out of poverty were developed on a family-by-family basis.
New entrepreneurship projects aimed at providing employment were also studied directly on site. As a result of the studies, an agreement was reached on financing by AloqaBank of three projects planned for implementation in the district’s mahallas.
The projects by direction are as follows:
- Industry direction — 2 projects, total value 12.2 billion soums, 45 new jobs will be created;
- Services direction — 1 project, total value 1.5 billion soums, 4 new jobs will be created.
The launch of these projects totaling 13.7 billion soums will create 49 new permanent jobs in the area. An important point is that unemployed citizens from the studied needy families will be given priority in filling the newly created jobs.
This initiative serves to provide the needy population with a stable source of income, raise the employment level in the district and put into practice the state policy of reducing poverty. AloqaBank will consistently continue its efforts toward the comprehensive development of the regions and the improvement of the population’s living standards.
