Mahalla Banker – A Trusted Financial Assistant in the Community

To ensure population employment, engage them in income-generating work, and improve living conditions, AloqaBank’s Khorezm RCIS has carried out several practical initiatives since the beginning of the year.

Specifically, AloqaBank has been assigned 27 mahallas at the regional level, with 8 “Mahalla Bankers” and 27 “Assistant Agents” operating in these communities.

Based on the “Saykhunobod” experience, 775 microprojects were implemented, with 19.2 billion soums in loans allocated. As a result, the income of over 1,400 residents was increased.

  • Under the “Mahalla Project” program, 13.1 billion soums in loans were allocated, enabling 343 citizens to engage in income-generating work.
  • Under the “First Step to Business” program, 5.3 billion soums in loans were provided, securing employment for over 330 residents.

Through mahalla bankers and assistant agents, 270 project packages tailored to local needs were delivered to households, resulting in employment for approximately 300 citizens.

Details of some funded projects can be explored in the accompanying video.
