Greenhouses are a source of household income and employment!
Raising household incomes, using land resources efficiently and creating new economic opportunities in mahallas is one of the key priorities.
The Chairman of the Board of AloqaBank and representatives of the local administration visited the Janub Mashali mahalla in Kamashi District, Kashkadarya Region, and reviewed greenhouse farms organised within a single land contour.
Today, more than 40 families run greenhouse farms on plots of 30–50 sotkas within an 11-hectare contour. As a result, families earn up to 60–80 million soums in additional income a year.
During the visit, participants discussed the scope to raise yields by 20–25 percent by introducing advanced agricultural technologies and growing high-yielding crop varieties suited to local climate conditions.
Proposals were also made to introduce natural pollination of flowering crops using specialised hairy bees — bumblebees.
The main goal is to roll out modern agricultural technologies widely, use land resources efficiently, raise family incomes and secure sustainable employment in mahallas.
