A Youth Headquarters has been established in the Namangan region. At the opening ceremony, the regional governor, Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov, spoke about the ongoing work to develop youth entrepreneurship and ensure employment. The number of young people aged 14-30 in the region is 652 thousand people, which is 22.3 percent of the population. Every year, more than 50 thousand young people enter the labor market. In order to support youth businesses, AloqaBank operates as a specialized bank. According to the presidential decree, $200 million has been allocated to the bank. Also, self-employed youth will be provided with preferential loans of up to 100 million soums for a period of 7 years. The Namangan branch of AloqaBank is implementing the "Youth Business" program for the first time in the republic. According to preliminary results, projects worth 125.4 billion soums were formed for 633 young entrepreneurs. 464 of them plan to receive preferential loans under the "First Step to Business" program.
