AloqaBank is taking practical steps to develop the textile industry in Uzbekistan in cooperation with international investors.

A meeting was held with the participation of AloqaBank, the international relations department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the leadership of major textile companies from China and Bangladesh — ChangShu HeGui Textiles Co., Ltd. and Comoda Garments Limited regarding the implementation of new investment projects in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, a number of topical issues were reviewed and discussed.

  • Development of the textile industry in Uzbekistan;
  • Creation of new jobs;
  • Getting closely acquainted with the opportunities created in free economic zones;
  • Increasing localization and export potential;
  • Implementation of production projects in cooperation with the bank.

Also at the meeting, foreign investors expressed their desire to establish joint export-oriented projects based on local labor force in Uzbekistan. The parties agreed to implement the first pilot projects on the ground and develop a specific "road map".
