Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategy for the development of the card business in the bank;
  • Manage the units within the card business block — the processing center, the card product development department, and the units coordinating card business sales and operational activities;
  • Form and develop a general business model for the issuance of bank cards, acquiring, and card services;
  • Ensure the continuity, stability, security, and efficiency of the in-house processing center;
  • Maintain, develop cooperation with, and conduct negotiations with Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, and other payment systems;
  • Develop, launch, and promote new card products in the market;
  • Expand the portfolio of card products for the retail segment, payroll projects, corporate clients, business segment, and other directions;
  • Increase the volume of issuance, number of active cards, transaction volume, acquiring turnover, commission income, and other key performance indicators of the card business;
  • Manage the tariff policy, commissions, margins, and P&L for card products and services;
  • Develop the acquiring direction, work with merchant points, expand the POS-terminal network, and improve service quality;
  • Improve processes for card business sales, customer acquisition, card issuance, delivery, activation, servicing, and operational support;
  • Manage and improve chargeback, dispute, fraud monitoring, and card security processes;
  • Develop digital card products, including virtual cards, tokenization, mobile app integration, and implementation of self-service functions;
  • Develop a unified card ecosystem in close cooperation with the e-commerce direction;
  • Standardize, automate, and increase the efficiency of operational processes related to the card business;
  • Organize effective collaboration with marketing, retail, corporate block, IT, risk, compliance, audit, and operational units;
  • Set KPIs for the card business, monitor performance, and provide regular reports to management;
  • Analyze fintech trends in the market, modern solutions in the card business, and competitors’ practices, and submit practical proposals;
  • Develop teams in the card business direction, enhance employee potential, and implement an effective management system.

Requirements

  • Higher education (in economics, finance, banking, IT, business administration, or related fields);
  • Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, etc.) is an advantage;
  • At least 7 years of experience in the banking or financial sector in card business, processing, acquiring, payment systems, or retail products;
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial position;
  • In-depth practical experience working with international payment systems such as Visa, Mastercard, and UnionPay;
  • Deep knowledge of in-house processing center operations, including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, chargeback, dispute, and fraud monitoring processes;
  • Experience in developing and advancing debit, credit, payroll, corporate, business, premium, virtual, and other card products;
  • Skills in managing tariffs, commissions, unit economics, profitability, and P&L for card products;
  • Understanding and experience with digital card products, tokenization, contactless technology, 3D Secure, mobile app integration, digital onboarding, and self-service solutions;
  • Knowledge of EMV, PCI DSS, antifraud systems, token service, card security, and operational risks;
  • Experience in developing sales of card products in retail, corporate, and partnership segments;
  • Ability to organize effective cooperation and integration work with the e-commerce direction;
  • Knowledge of banking regulator requirements, internal control, compliance, audit, and operational risks;
  • Strategic thinking, systematic approach, and skills in comprehensive business management;
  • Project management skills, priority setting, and organization of cross-functional collaboration;
  • Negotiation skills and experience working with external partners, vendors, and payment systems;
  • Fluent Russian language skills;
  • Knowledge of English is an advantage;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and understandably, and to substantiate initiatives and proposals to management;
